Introductions to founders we already work with.
DM & Associates is a strategy advisory firm for seed-stage founders. When a founder we work with is raising, and an investor we know is a genuine fit, we make an introduction. That is the whole service. There is no fee, no recommendation, and no list of deals.
Four steps, and then we are out of it.

We get to know what you invest in.
On a call: sector, stage, cheque size if you want to say, and whether you lead or follow. We keep a short note so we do not waste your time later.

A founder we work with decides to raise.
We do not approach you about every company, and most of our clients never reach you.

The founder chooses.
We ask the founder whether to introduce them to you by name. Nothing is sent without their written agreement.

One email, one company, one investor.
You receive the founder's own materials and a written conflict statement. After that the conversation is between you and the company, and we are not part of it.
We do not follow up on the founder's behalf, chase a decision, or ask how it went.
The boundaries, stated plainly.
We are not registered with SEBI in any capacity, and we are not trying to work around that. We keep this service narrow on purpose.
- No recommendation
- We never tell you that a company is a good investment, and we do not score, rate, rank or shortlist companies for you.
- No deal list
- We publish no live fundraises, company names or teasers. Not on this page, not behind a login, not by email or in a group.
- No materials of ours
- You receive what the founder wrote. We do not send memos, assessments or proposed terms.
- No fee from you
- Introductions are free to investors. What a founder pays us is a flat fee for strategy work, and it never depends on whether they raise.
- No pooling
- No syndicate, no special purpose vehicle, no nominee, and no collecting commitments. You contract and pay the company directly, and you appear on its cap table in your own name.
- No deal work
- We do not negotiate, set terms, value companies, or run diligence for you. Your own advisers do that.
- No reporting afterwards
- The company reports to its own investors. We send no portfolio updates.
What you are told before you read anything.
Every introduction carries a written statement covering all of this. It is not something you have to ask for.
- Whether the company pays us. Many do, for strategy work. Paying us does not earn a founder an introduction, and it never affects what we say about them, because we say nothing about them.
- Whether Dineshwara has a position. Dineshwara invests in early-stage companies in a personal capacity. The statement says whether Dineshwara holds a position in the company, or intends to take one, and on what terms.
- Whether we hold advisory equity. In a few cases a founder pays part of our fee in a small advisory equity grant. Where that is so, the statement names it.
- Programme work. While we run a cohort for an incubator or accelerator, we do not sit on its selection or investment committee, and we do not use what we learn there to decide anything.
What we are, and what we are not.
- DM & Associates is not registered with the Securities and Exchange Board of India in any capacity: not as an investment adviser, not as a research analyst, not as a merchant banker, and not as a fund.
- We give no investment advice. Nothing we send you is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold anything, and nothing on this page is an offer or an invitation to invest.
- We do not arrange, manage or underwrite offers of securities, and we take no part in a company's compliance with the rules on private placement. That is the company's responsibility, with its own lawyers.
- Where an investor is outside India, the company and its own advisers handle the cross-border rules on pricing, approvals and reporting. We do not advise on those either.
- If you want investment advice, take it from a SEBI-registered investment adviser. Our work is business strategy for founders, and nothing more.
